Gray-Nicolls is delighted to announce the signing of Australian young gun Cameron Green.
Green has inked a long-term deal that will see him using Gray-Nicolls bats and equipment this summer and beyond.
Established in 1855, Gray-Nicolls is synonymous with high quality cricket products, with the business being the only significant bat maker left in Australia.
Gray-Nicolls is the equipment provider for a number of the world’s elite cricketers, including Aaron Finch, Kane Williamson and Beth Mooney.
“I’m really excited to join Gray-Nicolls for season 2021 and beyond. The opportunity to join such an iconic brand was too good to pass up,” Green said.
“This year I’ll be using the Cobra bat. To have my bats made in Australia is a massive bonus for me and all cricketers.
“I’m looking forward to a great summer of cricket. There’s nothing better than playing the English in an Ashes series.”
The 22-year-old all-rounder made his Test and One-Day International debut against India in December 2020, scoring 84 at the SCG in just his third Test match against a world-class bowling attack.
Green was the leading run scorer in the Sheffield Shield competition in season 2020-21, scoring 922 at an average of 76.83. His high score of 251 came against Brisbane at the Gabba in March.
Green claimed five wickets on debut as a 17-year-old in First-Class cricket for Western Australia against Tasmania and was recently added to Australia’s extended preliminary squad for the tour of the West Indies and Bangladesh.
